We're hiring a communications manager to support the Instagram creator and executive team. This team launches products and programs highlighting the value of Instagram for creators and supports Instagram leadership in creating social and communications strategies that engage the creator audience. This role will spend time focusing on both product and executive communications.
Communications Manager, Instagram Responsibilities
  • Work with the Instagram Creator Comms team to support executive communications and product priorities.
  • Support editorial calendar management, ideation, script-writing and measurement for exec social. This includes working across XFN teams to source and manage ideas.
  • Lead comms strategy and execution for product updates and launches, with a focus on reaching creators.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing and partnerships teams to create and execute go-to-market plans.
  • Identify opportunities to tell creative, proactive stories that hit our goals outside of launches/tests.
  • Work with global teams to manage product launch calendar and advise on regional strategy.
  • Build and manage deep relationships with consumer/tech reporters, beat reporters, and social publishers that reach priority audiences and drive coverage.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 6+ years experience in PR, journalism, social media, or relevant field
  • Experience translating and describing product specifics and how they function to external audiences
  • Experience drafting and creating statements that capture the voice and tone of organizational leadership for internal or external audiences
  • Experience developing and executing editorial plans, with a focus on social media, that align with core communication goals
  • Experience drafting press statements, blogs, narratives, and social copy
  • Experience building solutions to respond to constantly changing scenarios
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of the consumer and tech media landscape with previous experience building and maintaining relationships with members of the press, social media publishers, or creators

$116,000/year to $170,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
