Meta is looking for an experienced program manager for the Reality Labs Business Group in Australia to support the deployment and maintenance of demo experiences as well as the development, production, implementation of physical displays where the demo experiences would be present in retail stores. The role will be based out of Sydney’s Meta RL office. The role will be the primary point of contact for planning and management of RL merchandising program elements that include demo devices, display structure, graphics & digital demo content, delivered into consumer facing environments. The role will also support a variety of other projects that come up to support the ongoing success of the team's program and help drive overarching process development to ensure deliverables remain on time. This program is highly critical to drive trial and conversion of our hardware at the point of sale. The program manager is responsible for implementing demo experiences for cutting edge products coming from the RL organization within Meta while maintaining the budgets, planning and production of fixtures and graphics programs for key markets . The role involves extensive coordination and negotiation between technology vendors, fixture/graphic companies, internal cross-functional teams as well as external vendor partners to ensure accurate and on time updates are delivered to stores or to third party partners. They will interface with internal and external resources, third party technical support partners, content creators and channel marketing teams across RL.
Retail Program Manager Responsibilities
  • Maintain deliverables and project tracker to ensure all updates execute on time.
  • Partner within the Global Channel Experiences team to assist with key deliverables that can be executed locally.
  • Create demo best practices training and documentation for developers/partners.
  • Develop and maintain scalable retail technology solutions such as content and device management systems.
  • Collaborate closely with Analytics teams to define KPIs, set program guidelines, develop/select the right analytics tool, review demo/display engagement metrics and build upon the data to improve the customer experiences.
  • Partner closely with the Field sales team to understand potential issues and build tech solutions that are field friendly and support fixture tech maintenance by building troubleshooting documents.
  • Partner with regional marketing to ensure demos meet the requirements and specifications of different retailers.
  • Build and track program budgets, develop RFI/RFQ documents to support with technology vendor selection, build supplier SOWs and serve as primary POC for technical vendors.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with retail technical support partners and scale the relationships accordingly.
  • Act as liaison between global fixture vendor partners, graphic companies, channel marketing managers, creative and marketing on any assets related issues that come up through the program.
  • Work with Global Merchandising Leads to identify areas to value engineer and negotiate with vendors on deliverables such as fixture costs or kitting & shipping costs.
  • Responsible for generating and tracking PO's and invoices so the budgets are tracking accurately and in Meta’s finance systems.
  • Organize both internal and vendor partner conference calls weekly to track and update progress ensuring all deadline dates are on track.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in technical project/product management, or equivalent.
  • Excellent understanding of Hardware and Software development processes.
  • Experience with bug and project tracking tools such as JIRA, Asana.
  • Have strong experience working with AU Consumer Electronics retail partners.
  • Understand how to create and maintain project trackers across multiple programs and stakeholders.
  • Possess as a minimum an understanding of fixtures & retail environment as a whole.
  • Excellent communicator, superb verbal and written communication.
  • Extremely high level of accuracy and attention to detail, able to detect inconsistencies and errors.
  • Experience forecasting and managing multiple project budgets.
  • Highly effective at managing conflict.
  • Master collaborator who can resolve issues between stakeholders swiftly to maintain a positive team spirit that is consistent with Meta values.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, approachable and flexible.
  • Experience with navigating various organizational environments where culture and structure varies.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with carrier retail partners is a plus.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Marketing or related experience in the field.
