Software Engineer (Systems) Responsibilities
- Develop and execute software tests.
- Research, design, develop, build and test embedded systems software for microcontroller firmware.
- Test system modifications.
- Build new software features and improve existing products.
- Work on problems of moderate scope.
- Push code, drive the development of the systems behind products.
- Develop a strong understanding of relevant product area, codebase, and/or systems.
- Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, programming and software engineering.
- Produce high-quality code with good test coverage, using modern abstractions and frameworks.
- Follow internal development standards from developing to releasing code in order to take on tasks and projects with increasing levels of complexity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field. Foreign equivalent accepted. Requires completion of an undergraduate-level course, research project, or internship involving the following:
- 1. Coding in at least one of the following industry-standard languages: C, C++, Java, or C#
- 2. Building large-scale infrastructure applications
- 3. Relational databases and SQL
- 4. Conducting design and code reviews
- 5. Building maintainable and testable codes bases including API design and unit testing techniques
- 6. Multithreading programming and mobile memory management
- 7. Software development tools: Code editors (VIM or Emacs), and revision control systems (Subversion, GIT, or Perforce)
- 8. Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS as evidenced by file manipulation, advanced comands, and shell scripting
- 9. Applying algorithms and core computer science concepts to real world systems as evidenced by recognizing and matching patterns from different areas of computer science in production systems
- 10. Developing embedded software on a RTOS such as FreeRTOS, Zephyr and
- 11. Debugging embedded systems.

$182,608/year to $200,200/year + bonus + equity + benefits
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
