We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Real Estate Transactions Manager to join our Global Transactions Team. This role will be a primary POC between cross functional internal teams and internal/external legal counsel, brokers, consultants, etc. The individual will be responsible for leading regional transactions with support from brokerage teams, as well as working closely with internal stakeholders to solve issues and answer questions related to the leased and owned portfolio. This role will optimize financial outcomes and reduce risk for Meta’s real estate portfolio.
Real Estate Transactions Manager, APAC Responsibilities
  • Drive end‐to‐end transaction management, including new leases, serviced office agreements, acquisitions and dispositions of real estate
  • Lead regional consolidation efforts to support disposition work by performing detailed real estate strategy scenario planning and financial analysis
  • Lead regional mark‐to‐market exercises to optimize savings opportunities for the real estate portfolio
  • Lead Quarterly Business Strategy reviews in partnership with Space Planning to ensure business and space needs are properly planned
  • Build relationships with stakeholders and business partners to support real estate needs, leasing strategy, headcount projections, while responding to local nuances
  • Produce reports, scenario plans, and presentations to drive decisions for real estate transactions and strategy
  • Act as the primary point of contact during transactions for cross‐functional teams such as Lease Administration, Project Management, Space Planning, Facility Operations, Security, Network, and Finance/Accounting among others
  • Perform detailed document review of all lease documents and manage all steps in the transaction process, partnering with Finance, Accounting, and Lease Administration
  • Create and manage financial approvals and justifications, coordinate with internal stakeholders, and coordinate documents for signature by appropriate signatories after legal signoff
  • Oversee third party vendor / broker resources and optimize financial outcomes while ensuring alignment of economic interests
  • Serve as POC to liaison with landlords and resolve issues on behalf of Meta
  • Monitor lease expirations and other critical dates with the Lease Administration team to ensure alignment with portfolio plan, negotiate renewals within prescribed timeline, and track payments and other obligations
  • Work with legal to draft lease renewal letters or other forms of formal notices
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes and procedures within the real estate transactions environment, implementing effective programs, processes, and procedures that increase productivity and workplace experience
  • Provide lease analysis and interpretation of lease information to management and relevant cross‐functional teams
  • Update and maintain various information databases, generate standard and ad hoc reports as required, and assist with updates to cross functional partners
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in real estate transactions
  • Demonstrated real estate transactions experience working in the Asia-Pacific Region
  • Proven experience in lease negotiations, dispositions, document reviews, campus strategies, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and real estate software
  • Proven experience of consistently working under your own initiative, seeking feedback and input where appropriate
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, or related field
  • Experience within the Technology sector or other fast-growing industry
  • Demonstrated Global experience (in addition to Asia-Pacific Region)
  • Professional working proficiency in multiple languages would be an advantage as the role engages with external partners in multiple APAC countries
