The Career Programs Manager will manage a team focused on building and scaling programs that support employees in every phase of their career at Meta. This role will own the strategy and oversee the execution of multiple skills and assessment based programs with a goal of identifying problems and implementing program solutions to match people and roles efficiently and fairly. Success in this role requires managing multiple team members and portfolios of work, influencing at all levels, setting and executing strategic direction. The strategic work will involve either leading efforts directly, or coaching team members, to design program enhancements, capture cross-functional input, own go-to-market efforts, and measure success over time. This role will collaborate closely with a range of partners, including leadership, HR Business Partners, DEI Partners, People Analytics, and People Engineering to design and support innovative product and program experiences.
Manager, Career Programs Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of program managers, prioritize planned work efforts based on impact, act as primary decision maker on execution plans, and serve as escalation point to help unblock team as needed
  • Collaborate with People@ leadership to establish long term strategic plans in alignment with overall organization strategy
  • Lead program efforts to request research and analyze data, identify and update priorities based on data analysis
  • Drive cross-functional roadmapping and canonical exercises for multiple large-scale programs
  • Partner with People Analytics, HR Business Partners, Business leaders and cross-functional teams to bring clarity to problems with no clear solution and create plans to solve them
  • Manage team’s performance by setting clear goals and expectations, delivering timely and effective feedback, and supporting directs in pursuing career and performance goals
  • Partner with People Engineering leads to streamline product support and drive towards a more connected careers experience at Meta
  • Partner with the People Communications team to develop and drive the communications and engagement strategy for key audiences (e.g., tech functions, organizational leaders)
  • Draft communications and build presentations, as needed, for socialization, status reports, executive updates, meetings, annual planning, etc.
  • Display commitment for Meta’s mission to bring the world closer together and deeply care about supporting our people working to make this mission a reality
Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of work experience within People Programs or experience, HR, consulting, or related field
  • Broad talent management experience, with specific experience in skills-based programs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading cross-functional collaboration for large complex people programs, driving data analysis, setting and implementing strategy directly and by guiding team members to do so
  • BA/BS degree in HR, business, organizational design, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience identifying gaps and improving processes and programs
  • Experience working in a Tech environment with engineers

$177,000/year to $245,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
