Operations Program Manager (OPM) prioritize and manage product dependencies while bringing a customer-centric mindset to influence key decisions that support Operations objectives. They are the primary Operations interface between core product teams and other functional organizations within Reality Labs. This role requires exceptional stakeholder management skills as there will be close collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Communications, legal, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and other Operations teams, in addition to suppliers. OPMs need a strong technical understanding of their products and detailed operational knowledge of product development, manufacturing, and supply chain processes. They are entrepreneurial, proactive, and structured problem solvers who can manage multiple products in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Operations Program Manager Responsibilities
  • Manage cross-functional execution of high-priority mass production initiatives by integrating plans and communicating risk & status clearly and succinctly to management, calling out key issues and presenting options for resolution to Leadership
  • Liaise across cross-functional teams to ensure product cost, manufacturability, reliability, product quality, and safety & compliance performance goals are met
  • Drive Operations team towards factory readiness with manufacturing partners to support MP (line layout, automation, capacity, CapEx)
  • Work closely with the Contract Manufacturing and Channel Operations teams to manage optimal partnerships for supporting product requirements
  • Coordinate Quality and other Operations teams to drive towards supplier and product quality targets
  • Work with Product Cost Engineers to track and drive product cost targets throughout mass production
  • Steer HW Engineering design discussions to align products with lessons learned in MP and customer demand while meeting cost targets
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS or higher in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain/Operations discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience in Program or Project and Process Management
  • Problem solving and analytical experience, including advanced skills in Excel
  • Knowledge of product features/specifications, manufacturing processes and the supply chain
  • Experience working with and managing external suppliers and manufacturers
  • Proven communication skills
  • Experience navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple and competing work threads to maximizing impact
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree (e.g. MBA, Engineering, or other relevant field)
  • Experience leading development/delivery of multiple high-volume products
  • Experience managing JDM’s with different models of engagement

$167,000/year to $230,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
