Meta Reality Labs gives people the power to build community and connect with the ones they love most. Our wireless team is seeking an RF System Engineer to create our next generation products. In this role, you will be part of the wireless team and develop state-of-the-art wireless solutions.
RF Module Engineer Responsibilities
  • Drive RF system architecture, requirements and validation requirements based on product requirements
  • Design, model, simulate, and analyze RF systems for optimal cost/performance/size tradeoffs to meet overall system requirements
  • Develop transceiver line up, frequency planning and RFIC performance targets
  • Interface, evaluate and collaborate with third party chipset vendors on their product roadmap and offerings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful RF system implementation
  • Drive RF new technologies for adoption to Facebook products
  • Prototype and debug new RF systems in the lab
  • Correlate measured data with system models
Minimum Qualifications
  • Masters in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in RF design
  • Experience in RF system level simulations and architecture/optimization
  • Experience in wireless standards and how they impact RF/PHY requirements
  • Experience with bench level wireless testing, debug, equipment, and setups
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D in Electrical Engineering
  • 6+ years of experience in RFIC and/or RF system design (5G-NR/LTE/WiFi/BT/GNSS/UWB/WiGig)
  • Understanding of transceiver architectures and their impairments
  • Understanding of digital communication
  • Understanding of RFIC circuit design
  • Familiarity with RF system level simulation tools (e.g. MATLAB, Simulink, SystemVue, ADS)
  • In-depth understanding of RF architecture, RF link budget and co-existence analysis
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g. FCC)

$139,000/year to $200,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
